This is what the moon looked like coming up through the trees behind our little house tonight....

<insert timely holiday here-Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Solstice, Yule, Saturnalia, Festivus, whatever>

It's promising to be a nasty day tomorrow and it's frickin' cold tonight. Stay warm and love each other, people!

It's ice-storming outside. It started as snow on Sunday and Monday, melted some Tuesday, melted more yesterday-DAY, then last night brought freezing rain.
I like the humidity, hate the freeze, does that make sense?
Richard went down on the bike Sunday. Laid it down proper, ended up bending the clutch handle almost artistically into a question mark shape. Bruised his left side and the bike's fine except for the clutch handle.
He has vowed to not ride in ice again. We'll see what the weather/winter holds.

Cut so I don't clutter your lifeCollapse )

So there you go. That's what's happening. Have a GREAT day and if we don't talk until after, have a good Christmas!

I'm DONE!

Yay me!  A novel in 30 days? Eat my shorts! A NOVEL IN 23 DAYS!!!

And my Mako says she knows at least 4 publishers that will give their eyeteeth for my porn. I am considering.

SO. I give you my untitled Nanowrimo project:
http://klsnanowrimo.blogspot.com
In 4 parts. Earliest is the first, latest the last.
MAKE NO MISTAKE: THIS IS PORNOGRAPHY. IF YOU READ IT, YOU COULD GROW HAIR ON YOUR PALMS, LOSE YOUR EYESIGHT AND MAY END UP LIVING IN YOUR MOTHER'S BASEMENT UNTIL YOU ARE OLD.
If you don't like it don't read it.
Enjoy!

Sometimes I feel completely mad and it's driving me crazy.  Not mad angry-mad, but 'mad' sounded quite nasally, with an affected accent, you know... Off the rocker but not completely batshit crazy? A bit of an-(that's the other fucking thing! When I write, it sounds like I'm reading it in a british accent all the time. I'M NOT BRITISH--although I do one hell of an accent, but that's besides the point... W.T.F?!?!?!) a bit of an odd duck, certainly someone who may benefit from counsel, but is not herself dangerous....You know? The dotty aunt that wore turbans; the gent who becomes obsessive-compulsive about his lawn in his retirement  years... that sort, not the apeshit hearing voices in the walls crazy, no not that far... I mean the madness.
continue the madness...Collapse )

I will let the idea percolate for a bit...perhaps a smidge. Maybe I'll take some of those characters and some of those conversations and write out the various movies in my head... What do I see, what do I hear, that sort.... Maybe get a readable story or two. Hm.

I watched the rain come in this morning.  There was a low rumble of thunder that lasted forever, moving around the sky like the best part of Dark Side (but only if you're listening on headphones in the dark). When the thunder drifted away, travelling over the hills, the rain crept in.
There are great sheets of water falling from the sky.

Although this is very cool, it becomes a moot point: I have to go to work all day. It makes the day dreary and dark and wet and just...ugh. If I were at home, I'd curl up with some cocoa and my pen and paper and I'd draw out Susan's cross tattoo, Mako's carp and my ankh. It's that kind of weather. It's not go to work weather, although I enjoy my job for the most part. Since I no longer have customers screaming invectives at me on a daily basis, it's pretty nice. Being polite helps the CSR, remember!
It is for this reason only I wish this happened while I was asleep.

Guess what?
Richard has never been to a circus. And I've only been to one.
I want to read MORE!Collapse )
